Genius Platform

Genius Platform

The Genius platform™ is an on demand, real time, 1-1 marketing and analytics system designed to provide business end users with instant access to critical customer response and behavior data on corporate web sites. The Genius platform integrates key elements of web analytics, marketing automation and CRM to present real-time web behavior data as individual customers click through corporate web sites in response to emails and other online media channels.

Unlike any of these existing solutions, the Genius platform instantly delivers 1-to-1, named-prospect data from web sites to sales professionals and marketing staff without requiring any technical knowledge or IT assistance. Typically, tracking systems such as traditional web analytics or marketing automation applications require significant coding, or "instrumentation", of a corporate web site in order to correlate web visitors with specific sources of the visit, such as an e-mail or a Google ad word. Too often, each visitor media source like e-mail or banner ads has its own tracking mechanism, making it very difficult to capture a unified profile of a customer as she visits a web site from various sources.

With Genius on-demand applications, end users are able to instantly access customer behavior data through the Genius Tracker, a real-time AJAX client that resembles an Instant Messaging Client, without any knowledge of web site tracking codes or instrumentation. The customer visit data is also available through various on-demand web user interfaces such as SalesGenius, a user-friendly, high-performance prospect qualification application. SalesGenius is the first of many applications built-on the Genius platform.

The Genius platform is comprised of 4 key, patent-pending technologies:

  1. RSVP Proxy servers enable end-users to instantly access web site visitor data without requiring any technical knowledge to track customer visits. These proxy servers process "Genius URLs" or "gURLS" which allow for instant, deep tracking of web visits as a customer clicks from a gURL through a corporate web site. Since the RSVP servers are hosted in the Genius.com Incorporated data centers, the end-user does not need to worry about altering his web site in order to gain valuable insight into customer behavior on the site.
  2. RSVP Data lensing filters allow end users to instantly access specific data about specific customers in real-time, rather than aggregate reports. Users access these data lenses through a feature called "SmartGroups." The data includes both customer behavioral data such as page visits, visit duration, and click paths, as well as tag data such as "contact label" added by the Genius user.
  3. RSVP Data push mechanisms allows customer data to be automatically pushed to open client software on customers computers and mobile devices rather than having to wait for the customer to initiate a transaction as with CRM or web analytics applications. Users benefit from this technology with real-time alerts and updates to the Genius Tracker showing uses responses to emails and visits to web sites.
  4. RSVP interactive services work closely with the RSVP proxy servers to insert, live, interactive services such as chat and targeted content and promotions into web sites on behalf of users without requiring changes to the web site.

In addition, the Genius platform encompasses standards-based Web service APIs for importing and exporting Genius data to and from other systems including CRM systems such as salesforce.com, collaborative applications such as WebEx, and marketing systems such as Google.

The Genius on-demand platform supports multiple applications running on a high-performance, high-availability network architecture. Key elements of the platform run on geographically distributed servers across multiple Genius data centers. The platform is designed to support instant failover and backup of critical customer data and is designed to deliver "5 nines" reliability and scalability.
