SalesGenius® allows you to send e-mails to your customers and prospects and provides reports on the opens, clicks, bounces, etc., resulting from your send. The real value of SalesGenius, however, is in the web visit data that results from your recipients clicking through your e-mail and visiting your web site. You will see which pages your recipient visited and for how long, in real-time. This allows the Sales person to make informed decisions about prioritizing his or her calls, based on the prospect's interest as demonstrated through his or her web site visit.
All SalesGenius site visit data is collected in accordance with common business standards. Analyzing web site visit data with the goal of improving the customer experience is a common business practice, and almost all corporate and commercial web site operators, such as Amazon, Yahoo, E-Bay and Microsoft. SalesGenius makes this information available directly to sales professionals, without any programming or IT involvement.
The Genius Tracker is an "IM-like" real-time view into your how your e-mail recipients are responding. The Genius Tracker will show you when a recipient has opened your e-mail and when he/she is visiting your web site.

With a corporate e-mail account, you get a fully enabled SalesGenius account. You will be able to send e-mail to up to 400 e-mail recipients. With a free e-mail account (like Yahoo! or Gmail), you'll be able to see whether recipients open your e-mail and whether they click on the link. However, you will not be able to see any additional web visit data, and trial accounts that use "non-corporate" e-mail addresses will be limited to sending e-mails to a maximum of 25 recipients.
Individual users are able to send to 500 e-mail recipients per month. You can only purchase SalesGenius with a corporate e-mail address. Genius Team for SalesGenius has a number of additional capabilities and allocates 500 e-mails per user per month.
For security reasons, tracking is limited for non-corporate e-mail addresses. You can try SalesGenius with a "non-corporate" e-mail address, but you will not be able to have full web site tracking of click-throughs from your e-mails.
Your e-mail budget is set on a monthly basis (except free trial, which expires after a month). You can send to as many recipients as your budget allows in a month. You can send all of your budget at once, or you can send to smaller groups of recipients many times until your budget is used.

While we do not directly integrate with other CRM systems at this time, our customers are able to easily import contacts from other systems to realize the benefits of using SalesGenius.
Save your contacts from other systems (Outlook, CRM systems, contact managers) as comma-separated values (CSV) and use the "import contacts" menu item in SalesGenius. You may also create your own CSV files or you can create contacts one at a time using the "create contacts" menu item in SalesGenius. From SalesGenius, you'll browse to your CSV file, then line up the fields that are available within SalesGenius with the fields you are importing from CSV.
Select "manage contacts" from the top menu. Find the contact you would like to edit (use search, sort, or page through your contacts) and click the pencil icon next to his or her name.
Yes. Genius.com Incorporated does not sell or make available customer contact information or contact information stored in SalesGenius. Like commonly used business software, such as Microsoft Outlook, SalesGenius enables our customers to enter contact information gathered from other sources. This information is private. No. SalesGenius is designed to let you communicate with prospects and customers with whom you already have a relationship. SalesGenius is not a source of contact information.
Yes. When you are creating your e-mail, there is a section called "Mail Merge" to the left of the e-mail body. Choose "Contact Fields" to merge in name, company, or other contact information. Be sure that each contact record has the data you want to merge. Choose "Owner Fields" to merge in signature or other information from the contact owner's record.
Yes. Be sure to include an "opt-out" or "unsubscribe" link in your e-mails. Also, to comply with federal CAN-SPAM laws, SalesGenius includes a mandatory opt-out footer when sending to 20 or more recipients. A valid opt-out footer includes an opt-out link, the sender's e-mail address, the recipient e-mail address, and the user's physical address. Users may select the opt-out footer from "owner mail merge fields > Opt-out footer".
